This is a side-by-side comparison of the same watercolor painting photographed under 2 different lights. One is an ordinary bulb in a desk lamp and the other, under a natural daylight bulb. I prefer to use a daylight lamp when I paint to keep the colors true. Natural light will show accurate colors, reduce eye strain as you work, and they are energy efficient and long lasting. You could try the OttLite – Natural light, which you can find, among other brands, at your art supply store.
